Muslims being the dominant in Morocco, some of the best mosques are built and constructed in the country from ancient times till date which holds a great importance and are symbol of great architectural designs.

People worship in mosque together five times a day, the holy time for namaz where they preach lord Allah. Mosques are truly are significant part of Morocco and we will find the most classic masterpieces in Morocco.

Hassan Tower in Rabat

Hassan Tower is one of the biggest mosques in the world which was built in the year 1195. However, the Sultan building it died before its completion and it also had to face earthquake in 1755 due to which it is not what it was supposed to be.

Beautifully surrounded by garden this tower is a peaceful place to visit and have some time with the nature and Moroccan beauty.

Koutobia Mosque in Marrakech

This is said to be the largest mosque in the city of Marrakech which was built in the year of 1150. Not only this, this great mosque is also one of the three oldest Almohad minarets of the world. Being a religious place with deep beliefs of worship this mosque has many interesting stories which will make the visit to this mosque even more pleasant.

Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca

One of the greatest kings of Morocco has built this wonderful and huge historical mosque of Morocco which consists of a minaret of 210 meter high. It is one of the greatest monuments of the world and hold a great significance for all Muslim and Non-Muslim population if Morocco.

The mosque is beautifully designed with a wonderful architecture of wooden ceilings, granite columns and marble floors. Its beauty has always been a center of attraction of tourists which makes them to just watch at its beauty for hours.

Karaouine Mosque in Fez

This is not only one of the oldest mosques in the world but is also the oldest existing university in the world as is the home for students of University of Karaouine for centuries. Founded by Fatma-Al-Fihri the daughter of Mohammed-Al-Fihri this mosque is a must visit mosque of Fez with a lot of stories which has also made its name in the Guinness Book of World Records.
